It is not too often that a weather-related story directly impacts your breakfast.

But that is the case this winter.

In Vermont, climate change, and erratic weather, have changed the rhythm of the sugaring season.

That's forced some syrup farmers to conduct their centuries-old business in new ways.

NBC's Lisa Daniels explains.
